So I picked up some more dragon eggs, the last two of the first batch are close to hatching. The hatchlings I already have don't seem close to growing wings yet.

ETA: The hatchlings are close to maturing, the eggs don't seem so willing to hatch or get many cracks yet. ::frowns at them::

Hey people, some of us haven't read the book yet so please use cut tags.  I'll be unfriending folks who don't until I've read the book 'cause really...I wanna discover what happens myself.  And if you can't be considerate of others, I'm not gonna read your journal for now.

I have two, count them two lovely new icons courtesy of the ever talented and lovely truly_tazi. Actually I have three, one is a variation of the one up there (points up) but I don't have enough room for it as well as all of the other icons I can't live without.

If I was able to figure out how to get a picture to show in the entry I'd put the other icon here but alas, I've tried and failed.

I recently made changes to my friends-list and removed folks who never seem to post anymore, our interests have changed, or who don't appear to read this. If I've removed you and you still want to read my journal just let me know and I'll add you back. I'm making this post public so anyone affected can see it. I don't use filters when posting or reading, but because the journal is now friends-locked, unless I've got you friended you won't' be able to see it.

I wasn't sure if I was going to do this but the spirit has arrived with a vengeance today so....give me your address for Christmas cards!!! I was going to do a poll but I don't want a repeat of the problems I had last year so I'm going to ask you all to E-MAIL me with your address (and lj user name please) and I'll send out cards. If you want to send me a card (please please please) let me know and I"ll send my address back. I've missed most of the address polls so I'm shamelessly begging for cards here.

I have something like 13 9 invites - I swear it's like they multiply. Anyway, if you or someone you know wants one let me know. Please, share this with your flists so I can pass these on.

I have wireless with my DSL modem which means I can get a laptop with a wireless card in it and be online without having to be off in the computer room. J thinks this is a great idea and is giving me the money for a new laptop! So now I need to choose one and I'm having problems.

I'm cheap. I don't want to spend too much (I'm thinking around $1500.00). I want something fairly light as I'll be hauling it around the house and outside. I want as large of a screen as I can get.

I normally buy Dells, have been for years both at home and at work. At work we only buy Latitudes for our laptops. I've looked at the Dell pages and nothing has really jumped out and grabbed me.

So help me out here. What kind of laptop do you use? Do you like it? Would you buy it again? Ask your friends and have them help me out also. I'm not stuck with Dell, I won't go to a MAC though. Nothing against MACs, great machines, just not what I want.
